Job Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist PRN is responsible for planning and administering speech language pathology services, including evaluation, treatment, and education programs, to restore speech, language, and swallowing abilities for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, treat, and monitor patients within the speech pathology treatment plan, modifying therapy programs and goals as needed.
  • Perform thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner, entering charges accurately and staying up-to-date on reimbursement-related practices.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, departmental coworkers, and members of the medical care team, providing education to patients, family, and staff.
  • Supervise students and volunteers, adhering to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.
  • Advance clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review, and implementation of evidence-based practice, imparting knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues.
  • Maintain awareness of system goals, aligning personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact the system goals.
Requirements
  • Must possess excellent social relation skills, including excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate aptitude in assigned areas as specified for each clinician.
  • Exhibit proven face-to-face synergy and leadership skills with all levels of the healthcare team, ensuring delivery of excellent customer service to all patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers.
  • Possess proficient computer knowledge, operating multiple computer systems and standard Rehabilitation equipment.
  • High attention to detail in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a high level of productivity.
