**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Dining Room Assistant to join our team at the Williamsburg Inn. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable dining experience.

**Responsibilities:**

  • **Assist Servers with Table Clearing:** Provide exceptional support to our servers by clearing tables in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • **Provide Water and Coffee Service:** Ensure that water and coffee are always available to our guests, demonstrating a keen attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • **Maintain Dining Room Stations:** Polishing silverware, glassware, and folding linen napkins, while maintaining a clean and organized station, setting the tone for a exceptional dining experience.
  • **Reset Tables to Five-Star Standard:** Ensure that tables are reset to a Five-Star standard, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • **Take Precautions to Avoid Breakage:** Take necessary precautions to avoid breakage of glassware and dinnerware, demonstrating a proactive and responsible approach to your work.
  • **Assist Servers throughout the Shift:** Provide support to our servers throughout the shift, seeking to learn all the materials provided to our wait staff in order to obtain the level of mastery in all aspects of the role.
  • **Prioritize Guest Needs:** Place the needs of the guest above all else, ensuring a Five-Star dining experience that exceeds their expectations.

**Requirements:**

  • **6-12 months of Food Service or Restaurant Experience:** We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 6-12 months of experience in a food service or restaurant environment.
  • **Excellent Public Contact Skills:** Demonstrated excellent public contact skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, employees, and supervisors.
  • **Availability to Work Various Shifts:** We are hiring for all shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • **Physical Requirements:** Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds, and work while standing for long periods of time.
