About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Ellicott Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Buffalo, NY.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the care and management of all open wounds in the facility, including cleaning and dressing.
  • Completes admission paperwork and provides advice and support to residents and their families.
  • Monitors residents and administers medication and treatments as needed.
  • Documents resident care services by charting in resident and department records.
  • Protects residents and staff by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Resolves resident problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
  • Assures quality of care by adhering to facility philosophies and standards of care.
  • Maintains resident confidence by keeping information confidential.
  • Tracks infection control and monitors and reports as needed.
Requirements
  • Current NYS State RN License.
  • Long-term care experience preferred.
  • Must be wound and ostomy certified.
  • Solid computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Friendly and a team worker.
