Job Overview

Position: Senior Business Process Consultant – Finance and Accounting

Role Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Financial Applications Support and Development Team to design, create, and configure applications that fulfill business needs.
  • Provide ongoing support for various financial business systems.
  • Oversee and maintain business software configurations as necessary.
  • Conduct technical tasks including navigating database schemas, analyzing table relationships, developing scripts for data modifications, and identifying issues for resolution.
  • Perform intricate data analysis and generate data queries to fulfill internal business requests and support audits.
  • Diagnose data problems within integrated software solutions, internally developed applications, and their interfaces.
  • Work alongside ITS infrastructure support and software vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Engage with business users and technology specialists to enhance business processes and system implementations, including defining functional requirements, design, implementation, testing, training, and documentation.
  • Support business analysis and relationship management activities.
  • Provide regular support for weekly, monthly, and annual business system operations.
  • Participate in on-call support for multiple financial business systems on a rotational basis.
  • Maintain a consistent and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and nurture effective working relationships within the department, Strategic Business Units, and Strategic Support Units. Interact constructively with colleagues to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 8 or more years of related experience.
  • Higher-level degrees (Master's or Ph.D.) may substitute for two years of experience, provided the institution is accredited.
  • Proven expertise in Financial System (ERP) development and support, with Costpoint experience being advantageous.
  • Thorough understanding of the Supply Chain (PO) to Accounts Payable (Invoicing) workflow.
  • Experience with database management tools.
  • Ability to navigate database schemas and comprehend table relationships.
  • Capability to develop scripts and implement data changes in accordance with Vendor Software constraints.
  • Skilled in data mining for problem detection and resolution.
  • Familiarity with ABI integrations (Webservices, Biztalk integration - XML).
  • Strong business analysis and relationship management skills.
  • Proficient in SQL for writing database queries, developing reports, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with report writing tools.
  • Aptitude to quickly learn OnBase, Adaptive, iCertis, Intelex, Pcard, and Costpoint T&E.
  • Ability to translate business processes into optimal software functionality.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and related tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to listen to user concerns to develop effective solutions.
  • Detail-oriented with a collaborative approach.
  • Self-motivated and capable of pursuing solutions independently.
  • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
  • Exceptional writing and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with strong skills in MS Word and Outlook.

U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED

Work Environment: This position necessitates regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each week.
