Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Assistant Professor to join our team at the New York University Graduate School of Arts and Science. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and service in the area of Environmental Justice and Sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach three courses per semester, including undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Environmental Justice and Sustainability
  • Advise and mentor students in their academic and professional pursuits
  • Organize public programs and events related to Environmental Justice and Sustainability
  • Participate in shaping the life of the program and contributing to the development of new initiatives
Qualifications:
  • PhD in a relevant field, such as Environmental Studies, Sustainability, or a related field
  • Experience in teaching, research, and service in the area of Environmental Justice and Sustainability
  • Strong commitment to interdisciplinary inquiry and social justice
  • Ability to translate key concepts in science and technology studies to students in the humanistic disciplines
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Public-facing critical or artistic practice in the field of Environmental Justice and Sustainability
  • Experience in developing and implementing innovative pedagogies and research methods
