Be a Champion for Peace and Justice in Your Community

Join the Friends Committee on National Legislation as a Volunteer Advocacy Teams Local Leader and become a part of a network of over 1,500 individuals working together to make a difference in Washington.

As a Local Leader, you will be responsible for building a team of advocates in your community, fostering relationships with your members of Congress and their staff, and engaging with local media to promote peace and justice legislation.

We are seeking individuals who share our values of deep listening, mutual respect, and nonviolence, and who are committed to working towards a world free of war and the threat of war.

Our organization is a national, nonpartisan Quaker organization that lobbies Congress and the administration to advance peace, justice, and environmental stewardship.

We welcome volunteers of all ages, faiths, and levels of ability, and we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive community.

As a Local Leader, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of dedicated individuals who share your passion for peace and justice, and who are committed to making a difference in the world.
