Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Manager to join our team at IOS. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality precast concrete products and services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee product inspections and site quality teams to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.
  • Translate customer quality concerns into internal corrective actions and drive continual improvement.
  • Minimize defects through promotion of prevention rather than detection.
  • Manage site calibration programs, nonconformance documentation, and performance of manufacturing audits.
  • Supervise and ensure quality control technicians follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
  • Schedule and oversee incoming, in-process, and finished goods inspections.
  • Clearly communicate nonconforming product/out-of-tolerance conditions to team members and supervisors.
  • Ensure rejection of product when requirements are not met.
  • Manage quality recordkeeping and support management in maintaining quality certifications.
  • Monitor the proper labeling, segregation, and disposition of non-conforming/hold material.
  • Manage calibration programs for inspection equipment.
  • Perform performance, oversight, and documentation of manufacturing audits.
  • Manage the document control program, including the uploading and maintenance of documents.
  • Represent IOS during site audits and document the outcomes of site audits.
Requirements
  • Degree in engineering or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 8 years' experience in Quality role required with 3 years in Quality Leadership role.
  • Internal (or Lead) Auditor Certification required, or 2 years auditing experience and must obtain formal training within first 6 months.
  • Precast and/or ready-mix experience preferred.
  • ACI Field, Strength & Aggregate certifications, NPCA Level II certifications, PCI Level I and II certification, or equivalent, or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Must complete LBF General Quality Awareness Training, Calibration Training, NCR/RCA Training, Manufacturing Process Audit Training, Document Control Training, Audits Module Training, Managerial Training, Quality Standard training (i.e., ISO9001), Management Review Training, and LBF Auditor training.
Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledgeable in applicable Quality standards (i.e., ISO9001, AISC, M1003, NPCA and/or PCI).
  • Knowledgeable in use of various inspection gages and practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret ASTM standards.
  • Ability to read drawings and prints.
  • Ability to understand DOT/Code requirements.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment involving heavy machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Proficiency in mathematics.
  • Good visual acuity.
  • A focus on problem solving and teamwork.
Computer Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to collaborate actions with multiple departments.
