Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a qualified Civil/Structural Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is crucial for the design and development of ground profiles, concrete foundations, and structural steel components for various aerial ropeway systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize specialized software to demonstrate expertise in ski lift profile design principles.
  • Design concrete foundations to support terminal and tower structures, including generator pads and underground vaults.
  • Create structural steel components such as tower tubes and walkways.
  • Provide technical support to the customer service department for troubleshooting and resource allocation.
  • Engage in project engineering activities for increasingly complex projects, reflecting your experience level.
  • Adapt to additional tasks as required by project circumstances.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to interpret project documents to ascertain project scope.
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary engineering design team.
  • Proficient in designing structures and their components with a focus on safety and cost-effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of construction practices to inform design decisions.
  • Ability to determine project design loads in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Familiarity with designing structural elements per industry standards.
  • Competence in preparing calculations, specifications, and drawings for various project phases.
  • Experience in preparing testing procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for field commissioning support.

Educational Background:

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program with a focus on structural design.

Preferred: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Work Experience:

0-5 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD and solid modeling software such as Siemens NX or Solidworks. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and MathCAD is also desirable.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to meet business needs and will possess the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic work environment. The successful applicant will be integrated into the USA engineering team, reporting directly to the Civil discipline team lead for project assignments.
