Senior Procurement Specialist

Consolidated Machine & Tool, a leading precision machining and fabrication company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for purchasing materials and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase materials and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure purchasing documents are complete and accurate, including appropriate terms and conditions.
- Maintain purchase orders to support ongoing material supply, including long-term contracts.
- Coordinate with Engineering Manager to ensure uninterrupted supply of required material.
- Provide timely updates on supplier quality or delivery problems to management.
- Maintain open lines of communication with suppliers for prompt resolution of quality or delivery problems.
- Evaluate vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and previous transaction history.
- Negotiate quality, delivery, and cost with vendors.
- Maintain pricing histories and other vendor records.
- Maintain supply system database for proper sourcing, procurement lead times, order quantities, prices, and internal delivery requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance and hold suppliers accountable for performance levels.
- Continuously improve processes and procedures to better serve the organization, vendors, and customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is highly preferred.
- At least 10 years of purchasing experience is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven negotiation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of purchasing procedures and policies.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
