About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef Assistant to join our team at Climate Pledge Arena, a world-class entertainment venue in Seattle, Washington. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Verify that all portion sizes, recipes, and quality standards are maintained by kitchen staff.
  • Supervise kitchen associates and food production in their area.
  • Partner with service personnel and restaurant managers to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment in good working order.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of walk-ins and freezers.
  • Actively work to maintain food costs within established parameters.
  • Effectively supervise proper food storage, rotation, and labeling.
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as instructed.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Line Cook, including experience as a Supervisor or Lead Line Cook.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to lead a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and basic math skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Manual dexterity to chop, mix, blend, and whip various foods and liquids.
  • Ability to lift and carry large pans from ovens or freezers, weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing and walking for the entire shift.
