Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis, IN. As a Cardiac ICU Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients with advanced heart failure, cardiogenic shock, STEMI, transplant, VAD's, thoracic, vascular, and ECMO patient populations.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, monitoring patient condition and communicating with the healthcare team as needed.
  • Coordinate patient care with members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of Critical Care (ICU) experience preferred.
