Job Summary

The Clinical Registered Nurse CSH Centra Specialty is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the care provided to assigned patients. This role requires strong leadership and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to think critically and make sound clinical decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage the care provided to assigned patients
  • Lead and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan patient care
  • Think critically and make sound clinical decisions
  • Delegates to care providers according to the ANA Principles of Nurse Staffing
  • Participate in initiatives resulting from nurse-sensitive quality indicators and/or unit-based quality metrics
  • Ensure appropriate patient and/or caregiver education with utilization of applicable resources
  • Operationalize change resulting from evidence-based practice or research
  • Operationalize unit-based action plans to achieve or exceed service excellence benchmarks
  • Participate in service recovery and uses appropriate resources during complex situations
  • Handle conflict resolution in an appropriate, timely, and consistent manner
  • Identify personal contributions to unit-based cascading goals
  • Admit, transfer, and/or discharge patients safely and efficiently
  • Use resources (e.g., time, people, supplies, etc.) cost effectively
  • Engage in own professional development as evidenced by self-assessment and attainment of degrees, certifications, and continuing education
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
  • Current Virginia or Multi-State Nursing Registration
  • Hold a current, active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) course completion card
