About the Role: As a Mechanical Engineer at Salas O'Brien, you will serve as a technical leader in the creation of construction drawings and specifications, existing system studies, and master planning efforts. You will collaborate with clients, project teams, code officials, contractors, and others to address mechanical issues and develop effective working relationships.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, a minimum of 5 years of design experience, and knowledge of HVAC systems design, codes, standards, and design guidelines. You will also have experience leading a multi-discipline design team and be proficient in Auto CAD, Revit, and MS Office.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Develop HVAC systems design for projects based on scope of work and/or client RFPs.
  • Provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of complex mechanical systems for various project types.
  • Perform Load/Energy calculations using software such as Trane 3D Plus and IESVE.
  • Develop reports and studies.
  • Write and edit project specifications.
  • Conduct existing building surveys and documentation of existing HVAC systems.
  • Provide construction administration services.
