KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Tax Associate, Estate and Trust Administration to join our Tax practice.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and evaluate fiduciary income tax returns for trusts and estates, including Form 1041 for Administrative Trusts and Estates, Form 706 United States Estate (and Generation-Skipping Transfer) Tax Return, Form 706-GS(T), Generation-Skipping Transfer Tax Return for Terminations, Form 8971, Information Regarding Beneficiaries Acquiring Property From a Decedent, and Form 1040 for decedents.

Oversee a portfolio of clients and/or manage the workflow of tax return preparation by Associate tax preparers.

Leverage Thomson Reuters OneSource Trust Tax platform and other state-of-the-art technologies for client service delivery.

Engage proactively with management regarding potential challenges, contributing to their resolution before escalation and enhancing the team's tax technical expertise.

Address inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.

Stay informed on tax technical advancements and data management for all accounts.

Qualifications:
Minimum of three years of recent public accounting experience and/or experience with income tax returns for trusts and estates.

Bachelor's and/or Master's degree from an accredited institution in business, accounting, finance, taxation, mathematics, economics, information technology, data analytics, engineering (financial, industrial, or systems), or related fields; accounting and taxation preferred.

Must possess or be in the process of fulfilling the state-specific educational requirements to become a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) in the primary place of business; a short-term plan for completion of such educational requirements following the start date for this position is required, with completion of such educational requirements prior to the start date for this position preferred.

Intermediate knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code as it pertains to trusts and estates.

Exceptional communication, time management, and leadership abilities; must be a flexible and adaptable team player, resourceful in delivering high-quality work while independently managing assigned client accounts.
