The estimated salary for this position is $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This figure includes benefits such as 401(k), dental insurance, flexible schedule, health insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance.

Job Responsibilities

As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Total Care ABA, you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing behavior intervention plans developed by the BCBA.
  • Providing direct one-on-one ABA therapy to clients in various settings, such as home, school, or community.
  • Collecting and recording data on client progress and behavior using designated data collection methods.
  • Assisting clients in acquiring and mastering skills across various domains, including communication, social interaction, self-help, and academic skills.
  • Implementing behavior management strategies to reduce challenging behaviors and promote positive behavior.
  • Collaborating with the BCBA and other team members to develop and modify behavior intervention plans based on client progress and needs.
  • Maintaining a professional and collaborative relationship with clients, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Communicating regularly with the BCBA and team members to update on client progress, challenges, and successes.
  • Participating in team meetings, trainings, and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in ABA therapy.
  • Adhering to ethical guidelines and professional standards set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and relevant regulatory bodies.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field is a plus.
  • Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, families, and team members.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to work with individuals with diverse needs and abilities.
  • The ability to follow behavior intervention plans, collect data, and provide feedback to the BCBA.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting client progress and session notes.
  • The ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • A willingness to learn and participate in ongoing professional development and training.
