Job Summary

The Wound Ostomy Nurse provides clinical services throughout the hospital, including the Emergency Department and Wound/Ostomy Care Clinic. This role serves as a clinical resource and consultant for patients with selected disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient clinical services, including direct patient care and clinical consultation.
  • Carry out professional responsibilities through education, research, and administration.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care for patients with wounds, ostomies, and other related conditions.

Requirements

  • Texas Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 2 years Acute care experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
  • Certification from Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB) upon hire.
