Wound Ostomy Nurse

Wound Ostomy Nurse Role Summary
The Wound Ostomy Nurse serves as a clinical resource and consultant for patients with selected disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems. This includes acute and chronic wounds, ostomies, percutaneous tubes, and moisture-related skin injuries.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient clinical services throughout the hospital, including the Emergency Department and Wound/Ostomy Care Clinic.
- Carry out professional responsibilities through direct patient care, clinical consultation, education, research, and administration.
Requirements
- Texas Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- 2 years Acute care experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
- Certification from Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB) upon hire.
