Job SummaryWe are looking for a detail-oriented individual to assist in the preparation and maintenance of anesthesia equipment and supplies. The successful candidate will work closely with our anesthesia team to ensure the smooth operation of our operating rooms.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble and prepare anesthesia equipment and supplies for procedures
- Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of anesthesia equipment
- Coordinate with the anesthesia team to ensure the availability of necessary equipment and supplies
- Participate in the orientation and training of new employees
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of six months previous Anesthesia tech experience within the last three years or graduate of Anesthesia Tech program
- Understanding of Anesthesia department equipment, procedures, and principles of asepsis
- Good manual dexterity and mechanical ability, including ability to lift 45 lbs from overhead position
- Ability to bend and walk in narrow spaces without contaminating sterile supplies
- Good peripheral vision and ability to stand or walk continuously
- Command of English language and legible handwriting
- Ability to exercise independent judgment within the job description and department policies
- Preferred education includes certification by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians as a Certified Anesthesia Technician
