Resin Production Operator

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Resin Production Operator is responsible for the operation of machinery to manufacture resin components, including liners, countertops, and sinks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
- Operating machinery to produce and cast resin components and related materials.
- Managing the mold pouring process effectively.
- Fabricating assemblies for countertops, including adhesive application and sink fabrication.
- Conducting quality assurance reviews as a rework quality specialist.
- Interpreting job specifications and blueprints to determine necessary machine adjustments and material needs.
- Utilizing various equipment as required.
- Performing routine maintenance on molds and related machinery.
- Operating forklifts and cranes, adhering to safety protocols.
- Executing ERP transactions for material management.
SUPERVISORY ROLE
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily. The following qualifications are required:
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in resin production or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in reading a tape measure to the nearest 16th inch.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY
Candidates must possess the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. The ability to write simple correspondence is also necessary.
MATHEMATICAL ABILITY
Ability to perform basic mathematical operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
REASONING SKILLS
Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed instructions and address problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
No specific certifications are required for this position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands of this role require regular standing, use of hands for handling materials, and frequent walking. Employees must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds regularly.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and high noise levels in the work environment.
HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
All associates must adhere to safety protocols and report unsafe conditions. Participation in safety training and housekeeping activities is expected.
