Job Title: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at DispatchHealth Management. As a key member of our clinical care team, you will provide high-quality care to patients in the comfort of their homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with our clinical team to deliver comprehensive care to patients in their homes
  • Perform thorough health assessments and diagnose and treat complex illnesses
  • Provide therapeutic interventions such as splinting, suturing, wound care, and minor procedures
  • Utilize critical thinking skills and evidence-based standards of practice to ensure high-quality care
  • Accurately document patient encounters and analyze test data to diagnose, treat, and arrange follow-up care
  • Educate patients and families on acute illness treatment and health management
  • Navigate difficult conversations related to end-of-life issues and goals of care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical teams
  • Identify and solve problems, adhering to clinical and safety standards
  • Provide care with compassion and cultural competency
  • Maintain positive relationships with clinical teams
  • Attend training sessions and clinical team meetings
  • Maintain professional etiquette and prioritize patient care

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of experience as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Current unrestricted state license
  • Nationally board certified
  • Current BLS required, ACLS certification preferred
  • Prescriptive authority and DEA
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work a varied schedule with evenings, holidays, and weekends
