Position Summary
The Automotive Lot Attendant is responsible for ensuring that vehicles are maintained in excellent condition and presented attractively. This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible hours, such as college students or those entering the automotive industry. This is a full-time role that requires a passion for vehicles and a clean driving record. Availability on Saturdays is essential, with no work required on Sundays.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains the appearance and functionality of both new and used vehicles by performing thorough cleaning of interiors and exteriors, topping off fluids, and replacing batteries as necessary.
- Ensures that buyer guides and stock tags are properly placed in vehicles.
- Organizes the vehicle lots, moving cars as directed by management to adhere to dealership display standards.
- Cleans up debris and scrap materials, ensuring a tidy work environment.
- Conducts inspections of vehicles and parts for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards.
- Drives vehicles to various locations including service lanes and parking areas as required.
- Creates key tags for vehicles to ensure proper identification.
- Performs additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid driver's license with no moving violations in the past three years.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.
- Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
- No prior experience is necessary.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors.
