Position Responsibilities:
The Case Manager is responsible for delivering services related to the Domestic Violence/Rape Crisis Program, assisting clients in navigating challenges associated with domestic violence and sexual assault.
Key Duties Include:
1. Familiarizing oneself with The Salvation Army Employee Handbook and adhering to the Anew Center's policy and procedure manual.
2. Providing comprehensive case management for both residential and non-residential clients.
3. Offering advocacy and accompaniment services related to legal, medical, educational, and housing matters.
4. Assisting clients in accessing community resources and achieving self-sufficiency goals, including support with housing, employment, and childcare.
5. Reporting client intakes to relevant authorities and maintaining communication regarding client progress.
6. Facilitating support groups for domestic violence survivors.
7. Maintaining accurate records and submitting required reports and statistics.
8. Training volunteers and staff as necessary.
9. Being available for critical situations as directed by the Program Director.
10. Ensuring clients are informed about the Office of Victim Services Compensation and assisting with applications.
11. Attending staff meetings and inter-agency collaborations to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree with relevant experience will be considered.
- Completion of sexual assault training to become a certified rape crisis counselor.
- Proficient computer skills for maintaining case files and communication.
- Professional demeanor and ability to navigate physical demands of the role.
- Valid driver's license in accordance with The Salvation Army's insurance requirements.
