Position Overview

The role of the Restaurant Server is pivotal in ensuring the overall success of the establishment by meeting or surpassing guest expectations for dining service. The Server is responsible for maintaining guest satisfaction through attention to dining area cleanliness and responsiveness to guest needs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide exceptional Guest Service by creating a welcoming atmosphere, which includes greeting and acknowledging every Guest, upholding high standards, and demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge.
  2. Empowered to ensure complete guest satisfaction, exhibiting hospitality and professionalism consistently, and taking pride in representing Auro Hotels with integrity.
  3. Understand and implement all safety and security protocols to maintain a secure environment for both associates and guests. In emergencies, ensure medical assistance is sought and inform management promptly.
  4. Foster positive working relationships with all associates to promote a collaborative and enjoyable work environment.

Essential Functions

  1. Guarantee guest satisfaction through meticulous dining area upkeep and attentiveness to guest requirements.
  2. Prepare the assigned work station thoroughly before service and ensure it is cleaned at the end of the shift in accordance with operational standards.
  3. Complete all necessary side-work as outlined in the restaurant schedule.
  4. Possess in-depth knowledge of menu items, including garnishes, ingredients, and preparation methods, and confidently address guest inquiries.
  5. Stay informed about daily specials, beverages, and menu changes.
  6. Promptly greet guests at their tables.
  7. Utilize suggestive selling techniques to enhance guest experience and increase check averages.
  8. Accurately take orders and input them into the kitchen management system, adhering to established procedures.
  9. Verify guest orders before serving to ensure accuracy in presentation, temperature, and portion sizes.
  10. Serve orders promptly, adhering to service standards, and return to guests to ensure their needs are met.
  11. Pre-bus and bus tables in accordance with restaurant standards to prepare for incoming guests.
  12. Notify management of any food and beverage supply needs to maintain efficient restaurant operations.
  13. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the property and its facilities to effectively respond to guest inquiries.

Additional Responsibilities

  1. Adhere to Company Standards of Service as outlined for Auro Hotels.
  2. Project a positive image of Auro Hotels to the public consistently.
  3. Execute all duties in a timely and efficient manner in line with established company policies to achieve the objectives of this role.
  4. Treat guests, vendors, and colleagues with professionalism and respect at all times.

  6. Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times.
  7. Be flexible with work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
