Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, assess, and cultivate commercial insurance prospects with both new and existing clients through various communication channels including in-person meetings, online interactions, phone calls, and written correspondence.
  • Build and sustain exceptional relationships with clients and prospects through consistent follow-ups, precise and timely quotations, and comprehensive account support. Proactively address and respond to all client inquiries.
  • Engage in networking and strategic planning to attract new clients and explore business opportunities.
  • Track, analyze, and report on critical metrics to ensure sales objectives are met, while efficiently documenting sales activities with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, mentor junior staff, share expertise, and participate in both formal and informal meetings as required.
  • Assist clients in the renewal process and retention strategies while fostering strong client relationships.
  • Maintain continuing education and stay updated on industry trends, new product offerings, regulations, coverages, and technological advancements to enhance knowledge and performance.
  • Review client audits, confirm and facilitate necessary corrections, and manage accounts receivable and billing processes.
Qualifications
  • Possess the necessary insurance license as mandated by state regulations and have at least two years of experience in personal and commercial lines insurance account management, along with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of insurance products, rating and underwriting processes, coverages, and industry practices to effectively secure new business and maintain existing client relationships.
  • Demonstrate a successful track record in business-to-business sales, showcasing strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills with the ability to close deals.
  • Be client-oriented, focused on customer satisfaction, and assertive in developing new client relationships while servicing current clients.
  • Exhibit exceptional organizational skills, capable of completing complex tasks independently, exercising sound business judgment, making informed decisions, and possessing superior written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Possess excellent time management skills, thrive in a collaborative environment, and demonstrate proficiency in technology and computer systems, including agency management software.
Compensation: $50,000 - $90,000 annually
