As a key member of our Public School Employees' Retirement System (PSERS) team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional retirement services and benefits to Pennsylvania's dedicated public school teachers.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in a formal on-the-job training program to develop knowledge of explaining, counseling, and facilitating the employee benefits program provided by PSERS.
- Assist with retirement seminars and educational presentations for professional and support personnel in individual school districts, intermediate units, and other educational-related organizations.
- Provide exceptional customer service through our call center, email inquiries, and scheduled counseling sessions.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of PSERS' policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
- Four years of staff support experience assisting with human resources administration, financial management, or public relations work in a pension or retirement system or a related occupational area.
- A bachelor's degree in communications, human resources, business administration, business management, psychology, labor relations, or a related area.
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Ability to perform essential job functions.
