Overview
The Vice President of Business Operations will lead a dedicated team focused on the strategic advancement, integration, and management of our technological solutions across the airline, rail, and cruise line industries. This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Product and requires collaboration with various departments to collect business requirements, formulate system designs, and establish interface specifications. The VP of Business Operations will guarantee quality assurance through thorough assessment, insights, and support of integration and IT applications and services.

  • Direct client interactions, including conducting on-site operational analysis to develop client service strategies.
  • Engage with clients to gather detailed project briefs and clarify specific project requirements.
  • Act as a seasoned operations research expert, providing problem-solving assistance and documenting findings and alternative solutions.
  • Support the development of strategic applications aimed at enhancing client services.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external clients.
  • Serve as the primary on-site client liaison for integration consulting initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect business requirements and create system designs and interface specifications.
  • Ensure quality assurance through evaluation, insights, and support of integration and IT applications and services.

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in business operations and/or crew management & scheduling; at least 5 years in a leadership role managing team members.
  • Bachelor's degree in operations research, computer science, mathematics, finance, or econometrics. A Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications related to project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or business analysis (e.g., CBAP) are advantageous.
  • Leadership and Communication: Excellent communicator with the capability to lead and manage professional teams, and build strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Change Management: Proficient in managing organizational change, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Strategic Planning: Formulate and implement integration strategies that align with the organization's overall business objectives.
  • Business and Technical Acumen: In-depth understanding of business operations, processes, and technical solutions, including experience with API technologies and client interfaces.
  • Operations Research: Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver effective solutions for clients and the team.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in managing complex projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, planning, and resource allocation.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Expertise in evaluating, analyzing, and supporting integration and IT applications and services to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
  • Multitasking and Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, work under pressure, and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal and Customer Service: Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Full-time, Monday through Friday, during normal core business hours and as required on evenings and weekends unless otherwise specified.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000 and is commensurate with experience.
