Position Overview:
As a Senior Tax Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the tax functions of our esteemed CPA firm. This hybrid position offers the flexibility of remote work combined with on-site collaboration, ensuring a balanced work-life experience.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage all facets of the organization's tax operations, focusing on tax strategy, compliance, and research.
2. Prepare and critically assess intricate individual and corporate tax returns in alignment with applicable federal, state, and local tax regulations.
3. Offer tax advisory services to the leadership team, aiding in strategic financial planning and informed decision-making.
4. Conduct ongoing tax research to remain abreast of evolving tax laws and regulations, providing insights for tax strategies that support the firm’s objectives.
5. Collaborate with the finance department to ensure precise and timely tax reporting, and liaise with external auditors during tax audits.
6. Develop and enforce tax policies and procedures to guarantee adherence to all relevant tax laws and regulations.
7. Mentor and guide junior staff on tax-related issues, promoting a culture of continuous professional development.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree in Taxation is preferred.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is mandatory.
3. At least 5 years of experience in tax management, with a robust background in both individual and corporate tax.
4. Proficient in tax preparation and advisory services, with a comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws.
5. Strong tax research capabilities, with the ability to stay informed on the latest tax regulations and provide strategic tax guidance.
6. Proven leadership skills, capable of managing a team and fostering a collaborative work environment.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
8. Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset for sound financial decision-making.
10. High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to manage confidential information discreetly.
