Job Summary

The Cypress of Charlotte is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Health Center team. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in report and make rounds throughout the shift to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including toileting, bathing, shaving, dressing, hair brushing, tooth brushing, denture placement, hearing aid placement, and eyeglass placement.
  • Respond promptly to all call lights and requests for assistance from residents, demonstrating a commitment to timely and effective care.
  • Assist with meal services, including tray distribution, setup, eating assistance, special requests, and snack cart distribution.
  • Properly document all ADL flow records, bowel and bladder function, repositioning sheets, sign-out sheets, meal intake, intake, and output sheets.
  • Obtain resident vitals and weight upon admission, providing a comprehensive introduction and orientation to new residents.
  • Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Provide range of motion for all assigned residents, following established guidelines and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Engage residents in reminiscence activities, promoting cognitive stimulation and enjoyment.
Requirements
  • Valid NC CNA license and completion of training course.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Minimum two years of experience in healthcare, with a focus on geriatrics and dementia care preferred.
  • Ability to observe changes in a resident's condition and take appropriate action for their total care.
  • Demonstrate understanding, patience, tact, respect, and courtesy in dealing with residents, families, and visitors.
  • Proficient skills and knowledge of CNA duties and responsibilities.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend written and oral instructions in English.
