Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Eastland Nursing. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, promoting their physical and emotional well-being, and supporting their independence.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, as needed.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as ambulating, transferring, and positioning residents.
  • Record vital signs, weights, and measurements, and report any changes in resident condition to the Charge Nurse.
  • Participate in collecting data for the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and plan of care, and provide input to the nurses for development of the plan of care.
  • Prepare residents for meals, transport them to the dining room, and assist with feeding as needed.
  • Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
  • Assist nursing staff with aseptic and sterile techniques to prevent infection and contamination.
Requirements
  • Current Nursing Assistant certification from the state or current/active CPR certification, preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office and internet navigation.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Customer service orientation and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
Physical and Sensory Requirements

This role requires heavy physical work, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds, and standing/walking for more than 4 hours per day. The ability to bend and/or stoop for more than 1 hour at a time is also required.
