Position: Clinical Psychiatrist

Job Overview:

As a Clinical Psychiatrist, you will oversee the mental health programs and ensure adherence to relevant regulations. Your role will involve conducting thorough evaluations and assessments for new patients within our network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to formulate effective treatment strategies for patients.
  • Administer medication management services, including assessing medication efficacy and side effects, prescribing medications, and modifying dosages as required.
  • Maintain precise and current medical documentation for each patient, including treatment plans and diagnostic codes.
  • Provide clinical supervision and review documentation created by psychiatric nurse practitioners.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Engage in treatment team discussions to share patient progress and coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to remain informed about advancements in psychiatric practices.

Service Areas: Covering various regions including Seattle-Tacoma area and rural Washington.

Job Types: Opportunities available for both full-time and part-time positions.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a residency program in psychiatry and a minimum of two years of post-residency experience in a psychiatric setting.
  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active physician licensure in the relevant state.
  • Current licensure by the State Board of Pharmacy to prescribe controlled substances.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license may be necessary.

  • Strong knowledge of psychiatry and general medicine, including current trends in the field.
  • Ability to effectively diagnose and treat patients with severe mental health issues.
  • Competence in analyzing complex situations and implementing appropriate actions.
