We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandise Planner to join our team at Bensussen Deutsch & Associates. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for timely and accurate sales forecasting and inventory purchasing.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with the replenishment analyst to ensure OTB parameters, in stock goals, and inventory goals are achieved.
- Work closely with the Program Manager to develop and implement assortment strategies, analyze sales data, and forecast demand.
- Manage BDA inventory to meet set targets for key metrics such as in stock percentage, active item in stock percentage, program turn targets, gross margin, and mark down percentage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure goal alignment, ease of process, profitability, and ultimate customer satisfaction.
- Continuously assess and analyze procurement processes and controls to increase results while creating greater ease of process.
- Minimum of 5 years purchasing or inventory management experience.
- Knowledge of demand forecasting, total cost analysis, and supply chain management fundamentals.
- Experience in retail planning highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to evaluate situations, identify core issues, fact-find, and promote thoughtful business solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and show initiative while being aware of when to seek guidance.
We offer a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $85,000, depending on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, we offer opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.
