About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Apparel Designer to join our team at Under Armour. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and stylish apparel designs for our women's sportswear line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop multiple product platforms that align with our brand DNA, seasonal concepts, and category direction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, development, and product line management, to ensure key deliverables are met.
  • Make strategic decisions related to product and process improvements.
  • Own the creation and presentation of category content, including merch pages, decks, mood boards, and trim and fabric boards.
  • Develop and execute clear and detailed sketches, technical packages, and BOMs.
  • Lead the creation and milestone deliverables.
  • Partner with product and merch leads to deliver appropriate assortment.
  • Present as design lead at milestone meetings, design checkpoints, style design review, and color review.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with typically eight (8) years of relevant experience or Master's degree with typically six (6) years of relevant experience or typically 12 years of relevant work experience without a degree.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Passion for designing compelling and cutting-edge products.
  • Strong design and creative research skills.
  • Solid understanding of construction and materials, preferably well-versed in manufacturing techniques.
  • Ability to express concepts and ideas through sketching.
  • Strong presentation skills and comfortable working with a group.
  • Must be detail-oriented, able to prioritize tasks, and to successfully meet multiple deadlines.
Work Environment
  • This individual must reside within commuting distance from our New York office.
  • Return to Work Designation: Three (3) days a week in-office, the remainder of the work week remote.
Relocation
  • Relocation Provided.
Compensation

$109, $149,888.75 USD. Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience for the position.
