Job Overview

Olsson's Facility Engineering and Design (FED) Team is seeking a skilled Telecom Designer to join our team of engineering innovators. As a Telecom Designer, you will be responsible for designing low voltage, telecommunications, and audio/visual systems within the built environment.

This role involves working in a collaborative design environment to layout MDF/IDF/Demarc rooms, design horizontal cabling, and specify wireless access control, security, and surveillance systems. You will also assist with other electrical design projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize CAD/BIM software to support intricate engineering designs, focusing on data center and building systems cable routing, equipment layouts, and communication systems.
  • Contribute to projects under the guidance of experienced designers, ensuring high-quality outputs and innovative solutions.
  • Assist in managing project components, paying close attention to detail and precision from start to finish.
  • Participate in client meetings, showcasing Olsson's commitment to excellence and strong partnerships.
  • Be prepared to travel to job sites as necessary, adapting to various conditions to achieve project success.
