Preschool Learning Assistant

CAIRO Academy is a non-profit preschool program dedicated to providing high-quality education and care to children from diverse backgrounds. Our mission is to enhance social justice and achieve parity for African immigrant and refugee communities through community organizing, collaborative leadership, and service advocacy.
Our Approach:
- We believe in a play-based learning environment that fosters creativity, equity, and learning
- We implement the Creative Curriculum and Second Step Social Emotional teaching tools to promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- We prioritize building strong relationships between teachers, children, and families to ensure a supportive and inclusive community
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year experience working with children aged 3-5 years old in a certified childcare setting
- Previous experience teaching in an inclusion-focused environment, supporting students with varying needs
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, frequent bending, crouching, and sitting on the floor
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
