Job Summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at our Lakewood Medical Clinic. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood and other bodily fluids from patients, performing waived tests, Automated CBCs, EKGs, and Spirometry, and assisting in the diagnostic and treatment of patients.

Responsibilities
  • Collect blood and other bodily fluids from patients using proper collection tubes and techniques.
  • Perform waived tests, Automated CBCs, EKGs, and Spirometry as ordered by healthcare providers.
  • Assist in the diagnostic and treatment of patients by providing accurate and reliable test results.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, test results, and specimen processing.
  • Follow all laboratory policies and procedures, including quality control and quality assurance protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members to ensure smooth operation of the laboratory.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduation from an accredited phlebotomy training program required.
  • X-ray training required.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a hospital or clinic setting desired.
  • CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish highly desirable.
