Job Summary:

The Behavioral Health Consult team is a critical component of Northern Light Health's mission and values. As a Behavioral Health Specialist LCSW, you will work under the clinical and administrative supervision of the Director of the Behavioral Health Consult Service to provide mental health and substance misuse assessments, brief counseling, information, and community resource referrals to patients across the lifespan.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide mental health and substance misuse assessments, brief counseling, information, and community resource referrals to patients across the lifespan.
  • Work under the clinical and administrative supervision of the Director of the Behavioral Health Consult Service.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop treatment and discharge plans.
  • Conduct duties and tasks in accordance with performance standards established for the job.
  • Participate in and complete all patient safety initiatives appropriate to the position.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Social Work.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in a healthcare related field with a demonstrated knowledge of community resources and skill in assisting people to make major decisions while acutely or chronically ill.
Working Conditions:
  • Potential exposure to abusive and/or aggressive people.
  • Potential exposure to diseases or infections.
  • Potential exposure to hazardous materials.
  • Potential exposure to noise levels being uncomfortable.
  • Potential exposure to noxious odors.
  • Potential exposure to very hot or cold temperatures.
  • Work with computers, typing, reading or writing.
  • Lifting, moving and loading 20 to 30 pounds.
