Job Summary

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health team. As an inpatient nurse, you will assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain accurate medical records.

You will administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients, and advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will be essential in maintaining accurate records and administering medications while monitoring for reactions and side effects.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans
  • Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients
  • Maintain accurate medical records and administer medications while monitoring for reactions and side effects
  • Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
Requirements
  • Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
  • BLS required prior to orientation completion
  • Act 31 training completion required within 45 days of hire
