Registration Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Registration Associate to join our team at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. As a key member of our patient access team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient registration and billing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Interview patients and families to obtain complete and accurate demographic and financial information
- Enter data into our registration and billing systems to minimize patient wait times
- Confirm insurance coverage and obtain authorizations as needed
- Collect and post deposits or deductible amounts as required
- Assist the Appeals department in overturning claims denials
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with patients, families, and clinical staff
- One year of experience in registration or a related clinical discipline
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to type 45 words per minute
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Certified Patient Account Representative (CPAR) or Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA)
- Knowledge and utilization of patient registration systems, insurance verification systems, and/or Medicaid portals
