Position Overview:

The State of New York is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Director of Psychiatric Nursing. This position entails serving as the Chief Nursing Officer at a prominent children's psychiatric center, contributing to the executive management team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the nursing department, ensuring high-quality care for individuals with mental health conditions across various settings including inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and programs that align with organizational goals.
  • Manage recruitment, training, and ongoing education for nursing and direct care personnel.
  • Monitor staffing levels and scheduling to maintain optimal care standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards in nursing operations.

Qualifications:
  • Current NYS license and registration as a registered professional nurse.
