Job Title: Behavioral Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at Ascension DePaul Services. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide behavioral health counseling services to children and families, and work closely with our education team to develop and implement individualized behavioral plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Behavioral Plans: Develop and implement individualized behavioral plans for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years to help them build skills.
  • Provide Coaching and Modeling: Provide coaching and modeling to staff to ensure that all supports are followed.
  • Provide 1:1 Support: Provide 1:1 support to children to help them stabilize and increase their success in an early childhood classroom.
  • Track and Monitor Progress: Track and monitor data on children's progress to inform social-emotional development planning.
  • Culturally Sensitive Practice: Work with linguistically and culturally diverse populations and classroom environments that reflect that diversity.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree: Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Special Education, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience: One year's experience working therapeutically with children as young as 6 weeks to 5 years of age.
  • Clinical Licensure: Clinical licensure/certification in Texas (e.g. LPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.).
