Purpose of the Position

This role represents AnovaWorks professionally by greeting patients and company representatives in a courteous, friendly, and efficient manner. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient functioning of clinical services to customers of AnovaWorks, working under direct medical or nursing supervision to deliver prompt and quality occupational health services at our clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors promptly and courteously, maintaining positive and professional relationships with customers and employers.
  • Answer telephones, transfer, and screen incoming calls appropriately.
  • Assist in coordinating services, providers, and other personnel to ensure smooth and timely patient service.
  • Schedule patient visits and testing.
  • Prepare patient charts and department forms per clinic standards.
  • Accurately obtain and enter client demographics, audiometric results, vital signs, patient history, and other data and documentation as needed into the computer system.
  • Obtain vital signs and patient history information, recording accurately in patient records.
  • Provide occupational health services, including pulmonary function testing, hearing testing, CLIA-waived laboratory testing, and respirator fit testing.
  • Administer medication and immunizations within scope of practice and as ordered by the provider.
  • Perform sample collection for blood analysis and urinalysis.
  • Arrange for lab tests, X-rays, and other tests/procedures as ordered and notify patients of test/procedure appointments as directed.
  • Release results as directed by medical provider.
  • Clean and stock exam rooms, order medical supplies and equipment, and maintain calibration records.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of Medical Assistant course or equivalent with qualifications required for MA-C certification.
  • Previous work experience in a medical setting (desirable but not required).
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office or equivalent programs.
  • Phlebotomy (desirable but not required).
  • Travel within Central and Eastern Washington required.
Licenses/Certifications
  1. Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COHC) Certification.
  2. NIOSH Spirometry Certification.
  3. Current BLS certification.

Compensation details: $20-$25 hourly wage.
