Position Overview

Located on the scenic shores of Lake Erie, Euclid Hospital serves the surrounding communities with exceptional medical services. Our Emergency Department (ED) is equipped with 16 private beds and a tailored split-flow process designed to enhance patient care and minimize wait times.

As an Emergency Medical Technician in our ED, you will play a vital role in delivering patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and documenting vital signs.
  • Conducting EKGs and performing CPR.
  • Initiating cardiac monitoring and oxygen therapy.
  • Carrying out phlebotomy tasks.
  • Assisting with patient transport and equipment setup.

  • Hold a current Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMTP) license, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and document vital signs.
  • Perform EKGs and CPR as necessary.
  • Initiate oxygen therapy and cardiac monitoring.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must have:

  • Completion of an accredited EMS-Paramedic training program.
  • Current licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMTP).
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
  • Experience in a clinical setting, preferably as an EMT-P.
Physical Requirements

This position requires full-body mobility to lift and move patients, along with manual dexterity and good coordination. The role involves extensive standing and walking, with the ability to exert varying levels of force to move objects.
