Job Title: Physical Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Day Kimball Health. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their maximum functional potential.

Job Summary:

Under the general direction of the Physical Medicine Director, you will organize and administer prescribed physical therapy programs to reduce and/or prevent disability. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate and treat patients as prescribed by referring physicians, while also educating patients, family, and significant others regarding their condition, treatment, and home program.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and treat patients as prescribed by referring physicians.
  • Record treatment, response, progress, and discharge information in patient charts or enter information into computers.
  • Educate patients, family, and significant others regarding their condition, treatment, and home program.
  • Routinely confer with physicians and other practitioners regarding progress, regression, or change of plan.
  • Orient, instruct, and direct assistants, aides, and students.
  • Maintain professional growth by attending department meetings, inservice, and educational conferences.
Qualifications:
  • BS, MS, or DPT degree from an accredited program in Physical Therapy required.
  • Licensure by the state of Connecticut required.
  • Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire required.
