Curriculum Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Curriculum Technician to join our team at Allan Hancock College. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of technical curriculum and scheduling duties to ensure data accuracy and timely documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the college curriculum committee in the development and evaluation of curriculum, as well as the monitoring, tracking, and reporting of the curriculum approval process.
- Input, edit, and maintain data for producing descriptions for the schedule of classes, providing scheduling staff with final approved curriculum and related content.
- Edit and update transfer and program pathway information in the college catalog, state inventory, and other systems.
- Maintain communication with the chancellor's office to ensure course inventory is current and accurate, and assist with the submission of course applications.
- Provide support to academic affairs, admissions & records, and information technology services, completing large data entry projects related to curriculum and statewide initiatives.
- Respond to requests from faculty and other departments for information, data, reports, and resources used to support academic affairs functions.
- Assist with troubleshooting technical issues related to curriculum software, scheduling systems, and the catalog, referring to other departments as needed.
- Execute the digital and physical collection and maintenance of curriculum documentation, including course outlines of record, academic policy and planning minutes, and Title 5 updates.
- Serve as back-up clerical support for the college curriculum committee, including production and publication of minutes, agendas, and curriculum committee summary reports.
- Assist with in-service training for faculty and staff related to curriculum development.
- Two years of professional data entry, technical support, and customer service experience, or an Associate degree in a related field and one year of professional experience.
- Knowledge of principles and techniques for data management and reporting, best practices for technical support and customer service, data control procedures, and modern office practices.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, communicate effectively, and perform arithmetic calculations quickly and accurately.
- Duties are primarily performed in an office environment, at a desk or at a computer.
- The incumbent will experience interruptions while performing normal duties during the regular workday.
- The incumbent will have contact virtually, in person, by email, or on the telephone with faculty, staff, students, and the general public.
- Evidence of a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of staff and students, and to staff and students with disabilities.
