**Job Summary**

As a key member of the Conagra team, the Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the maintenance department, production lines, and affiliated equipment at our Hagerstown, MD plant. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for scheduling work and resources to meet production demands, maintaining the preventative maintenance system, and working towards meeting the plant's safety and uptime goals.

The successful candidate will control maintenance expenses by managing overtime and parts expenses, maintain the mechanical integrity and equipment reliability programs to ensure employee safety and provide environmental security, and maximize the plant's availability, product quality, and cost effectiveness.

Key responsibilities include ownership of the plant's Preventive Maintenance activities, leadership of equipment performance tracking and repair/improvement prioritization, technical coaching of mechanical craftsmen, and engineering support of maintenance and capital projects.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Plan and schedule resources to meet production demands.

+ Monitor downtime to support production efficiencies.

+ Train, motivate, and direct employees to follow safe work methods and standards.

+ Maintain a cooperative working relationship with USDA officials.

+ Oversee the purchase of supplies and repair parts with regard to quality.

+ Support the plant's safety program and comply with all OSHA safety regulations and standards.

+ Assume full ownership of predictive and preventive maintenance activities, including oil analysis, vibration analysis, engine-compressor analysis, and infrared thermography.

+ Evaluate PM/PDM activities and frequencies to ensure optimum use of workforce and resources in maximizing equipment reliability.

**Requirements:**

+ High school diploma or GED equivalent, bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Mechanical engineering or other technical degree program.

+ 3 years of previous maintenance experience required.

+ Previous management experience required.

+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, schematics, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

+ Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

+ Experience with Preventative Maintenance programs and knowledge of Electronic and Electrical principals.

+ Computer experience and CAD/Drafting experience desirable.
