About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Batching Operator I to join our team at Post Consumer Brands. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining batching and grinding equipment, ensuring the highest quality products are produced.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain batching and grinding equipment, including Hammer Mills, Bulk Mixers, Weigh Scales, and Mill Elevators and drags.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical problems with batching equipment, escalating issues to the Maintenance department as needed.
  • Provide clear communication and direction to various departments, including Material Handlers, Truck Drivers, Micro-ingredient Warehouse personnel, Post personnel, Extrusion operators, and Maintenance department personnel.
  • Monitor levels of bulk raw material bins and coordinate delivery of bulk shipments with the Procurement department and Post.
  • Ensure goods delivered to the warehouse meet approved orders and bill of lading or invoice requirements, and verify the food safety of each load.
  • Responsible for housekeeping of the batching department, including sweeping the floor, removing trash, cleaning at the end of the shift, and finalizing paperwork.
  • Report any food safety issues, security breaches, attempts at product tampering or contamination, and/or other suspicious behavior observed to manager/supervisor.
  • Complete and comply with the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), Daily Routine List (DRL), HACCP procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Integrated Pest Management (IPM) compliance.
  • Maintain a food-safe sanitary environment at all times.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Zero to two (0-2) years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Strong ability to communicate in English effectively both verbally and in written form.
  • Attention to detail, self-motivation, and responsibility.
  • Ability to follow documented processes, multi-task, and maintain accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in computer skills (touch screen).
  • Safely operate a forklift and other mechanical equipment.
Working Conditions

Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts/machinery, major amounts of dust, and moderate to severe noise levels. Occasionally exposed to outdoor/uncontrolled weather conditions and chemicals used in the manufacturing process.
