About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Surgical Tech to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain aseptic surgical environments, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, providing essential support and expertise.
  • Operate and maintain complex medical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
  • At least 1 year of experience in an operating room setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
