Key Responsibilities- Pre-Operative Preparation: Prepare the operating room and equipment for each procedure, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Surgical Assistance: Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, providing support and maintaining a sterile field.
- Equipment Management: Operate and maintain various types of equipment used in the operating room, ensuring proper function and safety.
- Patient Care: Provide excellent patient care and support, ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients throughout the surgical process.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
- Education: Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a cardiovascular operating room setting.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull with 30 pounds of force, and perform other physical tasks as required.
- Environmental Factors: Exposure to mechanical, electrical, chemical, radiation, and biological hazards.
