Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Friendship Community Care. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young students.

Responsibilities
  • Assure quality standards of care for early childhood programs, adhering to ITERS/ECERS standards and maintaining a safe and engaging environment for children.
  • Collaborate with parents and staff to ensure a positive and productive atmosphere, promoting the well-being and development of our children.
  • Directly supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and engagement in activities.
  • Stay informed of children's records and maintain accurate documentation, adhering to FCC procedures and DHS regulations.
  • Participate in training activities, including annual courses in Infant/Toddler CPR, First Aid, and Infection Control, to maintain certification and enhance professional development.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, such as car rider, morning care, aftercare, and bus loading/unloading, to support the smooth operation of our childcare center.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; previous early childhood experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
