Job Summary

As a Pipeline Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our pipeline facilities, crude oil tank batteries, and measurement equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Pipeline Facilities: Responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of pipeline facilities, crude oil tank batteries, crude oil pumps, measurement facilities, and equipment in accordance with Company procedures/policies and DOT regulations.
  • Measurement and Reporting: Maintain accurate measurement of crude oil into and out of an assigned area of the pipeline district, and complete applicable reporting and documentation of key operating parameters.
  • Construction and Maintenance: Coordinate, supervise, and inspect the maintenance or construction of minor pipeline facilities in district or region.
  • Cost Control and Safety: Assist in cost control of pipeline operations and maintenance in assigned area, and complete appropriate documentation and reporting for inspection and maintenance, safety, regulatory, etc.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED, required; 3+ years pipeline operations and/or maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledgeable in operating and maintaining crude oil pipeline and station facilities; good knowledge and/or experience with cathodic protection, measurement, and/or SCADA equipment preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Capable of performing duties independently with minimal supervision; required to work rotating shift schedule, be on 24 hours call as needed; must have basic computer skills to use Company e-mail, company issued software and hardware, and produce electronic reports.
Working Conditions

Must be capable of lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50lbs; capable of vigorous outdoor activities and have manual dexterity with physical ability to work extended hours, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, working with arms extended above the head, twisting upper body, standing for long periods, walking on catwalks, working in confined spaces, exposure to extreme weather conditions, driving a vehicle, operation of forklifts and light industrial equipment.
